Harold A. Parker, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed

away peacefully in Kennewick, WA, on September 16, 2024, at the age of 95.

Born on February 20, 1929, in Hood River, OR, Harold lived a life full of

dedication to his family and community, hard work, and joy.

Harold was one of nine siblings and spent his early years homesteading in

Nyssa, OR, before moving to the Tri-City area. He learned the art of

carpentry from his father, a skill he proudly carried with him throughout

his life. After graduating from Kennewick High School, Harold went on to

work as a carpenter, eventually retiring from Westinghouse as supervisor of

the carpentry shop on the Hanford site.

A devoted husband, Harold was married to the love of his life, Darline, for

an incredible 74 years. Their union was blessed with four children: sons

Butch (Harold Jr.), Gary, and Terry, and daughter Diana. His family legacy

continues through his 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3

great-great-grandchildren.

Harold was a man of many talents and passions. He was a member of the

Benton Lodge #277 Free and Accepted Masons for 50 years. He was known for

his great sense of humor, his gift for entertaining others, and his love of

his family, especially his wife. He brought joy to many through his love

of square dancing and calling, a pastime that perfectly suited his vibrant

personality.

He is survived by his loving wife, Darline; sons Gary and Terry; daughter

Diana; sister Janice (Terry) Witherspoon; and his extensive family of

grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He was

preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Neola, as well as his siblings

Duran, Duane, Barbara, Lloyd, Joe, Ruth, and Dwight, and his son Butch.

Harold will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. In his memory,

tell someone a joke, make someone smile, and find someone to love as deeply

as he did Darline.

Those we love never truly leave us. There are things that death cannot

touch.
