Greg passed away on June 23, 2009 at Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco. Greg grew up in Portland, Oregon where he graduated from Franklin High School in 1985. He also attended Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. Greg moved to Pasco in May 2002. Greg loved life & lived it to the fullest & was always ready to attend any sporting event. It didn't matter if he knew anyone playing, as long as there was a game, he was there. He loved watching his son Scott play football, baseball, basketball & hockey and his daughter, Ashley, play softball. He coached his son's football & baseball teams. More recently he helped coach an "Upward Basketball" team that included his "adopted" nephew, Josh. When not coaching, he was pacing the floor, field or ice rink as a spectator & dad. He had a great passion for Professional Wrestling. Any chance he had he would attend a live event, watch it on TV or read any books or articles. His friends included several professional wrestlers in the Pacific Northwest. Greg is survived by his wife Patti & beloved dog Milo of Pasco; son Scott Kossak; and daughter Ashley Kossak. His parents Gil & Fern Kossak; sisters Christi Parrish David, Jennifer Kossak; brother Geoff Kossak Shelley, all of Portland, OR; brother-in-law John Nestor, Pasco, WA; nephews Jonathan, Matthew, Ethan, Elijah & niece Evelynn; uncles Jim Millholland of Marysville, WA, Frank, Tony, Tom Kossak, all of Portland & Richard Kossak of Rancho Murieta, CA; aunts Jean Smith, Marysville, WA, Lillian Sweet, Montana, & Joanne Floodman, Portland; and numerous cousins throughout the United States. He was preceded in death by his in-laws, John & Mable Nestor and his grandparents Ken & Mary Pedigs. Greg was so lucky to have surrounded himself with many close friends including Deb Holter, Steve Regnier, Jan Smith, Vonie & Larry Aeschliman, Billy "Bruno" Moffett & his family, Dan & Lisa Lovejoy & their children. The list could go on forever because he was a blessed man when it came to friends. "Greg you are the love of my life. You brought so much joy & happiness to my life in the short time we had together. My heart is breaking & I feel so empty. But God had a plan & needed a coach; he got the best! I love you & miss you my "Dumpling". A celebration of Greg's life will be held Monday, June 29, 2009, 10:30am, at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street in Kennewick, Washington.
