Onetime Clarkston resident Dr. Gregory A. (Greg) Johnson, 65, died Friday, May 3, 2013, at Richland. Greg was born Sept. 25, 1947, in Minneapolis, to Dr. Arthur and Martha Johnson. Art and Marty were longtime residents of Clarkston, having moved here in 1967. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Dental School in 1976, where he also earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry. He practiced dentistry in Minot and Fargo, N.D., and moved his practice to Kennewick, where he retired from dentistry in 2010. His great passion in life was the outdoors and hunting and fishing. He spent untold hours pursuing pheasants and other upland game and waterfowl. He was equally skilled in fishing and fished lakes and rivers across Minnesota, North Dakota, Canada and Alaska. He loved doing all these things with his family and passed on his skills and passion for hunting and fishing to them. He is survived by his brother, Kirk Johnson and his wife Renae of Las Vegas; his sister, Carolyn Leeper and her husband Mark of Gig Harbor, Wash.; and two nephews and three nieces. He will be interred at the Vineland Cemetery in Clarkston, following a graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday.
