Gregory Harlan, 64, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025. He was born on September 20, 1960, at Richards-Gebaur AFB, MO, the second child of Billy and Rebecca Harlan. As a child of a military family, he attended various schools throughout the continental U.S. and Alaska, where he excelled and was at the top of his class. He was on the coveted list of Who's Who Among U.S. High School Students. He was an outstanding cross country and track athlete, winning Most Valuable Athlete in both sports, setting school records in his specialty event, and taking part of being on 2 League Championship track teams his junior and senior years.

Upon graduating from (Atwater HS, CA) in 1979, he was accepted to attend the University of California at Los Angeles, where he pledged into the Sigma Phi fraternity and was an active member. He earned his bachelor's degree in 1983, was selected to attend UCLA Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1986. He was accepted into the Yale School of Office Management, where he earned his Master's degree in 1988.

He was successful in the corporate world, advancing into upper management positions. In 1991, he married Kathy Mack, this union produced two children, Caitlin and Leil. After residing in Oakland, CA, and Santa Fe, NM, the family settled in Bainbridge Island, WA, where he was working in the healthcare information technology career at the time of his passing. His passion for sports cars, especially Porsche and the F-1 Series vehicles and sporting events (he was an avid S.F. Giants fan) although he was a private person, his outgoing personality made him a pleasure to be around.

He is survived by his daughters Caitlin and Leil Harlan of Tucson, AZ; Brothers Jeffrey, also of Tucson, AZ; Kenneth of Eugene, OR; his companion Beth Perez of Kennewick, WA; former spouse Kathy Mack of Sahuarita, AZ; Several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death is his parents, U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Billy M. Harlan and Rebecca A. Harlan, his sister Roxanne.

Per his wishes, no funeral services will be held. His remains are held within the family.
