Gordon David Kaas, 85, of Richland, WA, passed away on June 3, 2018, peacefully in his sleep. The funeral service will be held on June 13, 2018 at 2pm at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home. Viewing will be from 5-7pm on June 12, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park. Gordon was born in Pasco, WA on November 13, 1932 to Thorvald and Edith Kaas. He graduated from Kennewick High School in 1951. He then served in the Army during the Korean War. After returning home he and Beverly eloped and were married in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on November 19, 1954. Gordon worked at various jobs on the Hanford reservation until 1972. In the spring of 1972 he purchased a farm for the family and moved them north of Pasco where they resided until 2016. Gordon is survived by his wife, Beverly; daughter, Jami Sue & husband, Lado; daughter-n-law, Monique Kaas; grandsons, Jared & Trevor Pisinger, Devin & Tyson Kaas and granddaughter, Kaitlynn Pisinger. He is also survived by his twin brother, Norman Kaas, sister, Alice Chapman and numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his son, Randall Gordon Kaas, his parents, Thorvald and Edith Kaas, brothers, Edward, George and Niels. Gordon loved his years as a farmer and after retirement he enjoyed fishing with Randy and his grandkids, spending time with family and all his woodworking.
