Gloria Jean Leighty Gann Gloria went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly February 8, 2012. Gloria was born on November 8, 1939, in Hot Springs, Montana, the eldest child of Arthur and Agnes Mullen. Gloria spent most of her childhood in Hot Springs, Montana. At the age of 16, Gloria moved with her family to Kalispell, Montana where she attended Flathead High School and met the love of her life, Ted Leighty. Gloria and Ted were married April 1957 and together were blessed with 4 children. Gloria and Ted relocated to Pasco in 1961. Gloria's met her greatest challenge on February 9, 1971 when Ted was killed in a tragic accident. Gloria was a widow at the age of 32 with 4 children to raise alone and no formal education. Gloria forged forward providing for her family by taking a job with Lamb Weston, which she retired from in 2000 as a Lab Technician. In 1978, while playing Bingo she met Gordon Gann whom she married on March 25, 1981. The Lord blessed her with a wonderful husband and father for her children. They just celebrated their 30th Anniversary on March 25, 2011. Gloria loved music, playing the piano, walking at Albertsons, writing poetry, Mariners, cooking, trips to Wildhorse, and her cat, Baby. Gloria was an amazing writer. She shared her heart through her writings at every family celebration to convey her pride in her family with never a dry eye in the room. Gloria never knew a stranger, her hospitality was well known, and her home was always welcome to all. Gloria was a beautiful woman inside and out, her love and light emulated through her smile, loving eyes, and kind heart. Gloria instilled the importance of family with her golden rule; do unto others as you would have done unto you. We could write a million books about her character and contributions to this world while we were blessed with her presence. Gloria was the cornerstone to our family and will sorely missed by all whose path she ever crossed.
