GLORIA M. CLAPPER January 29, 1924 - January 11, 2010 Gloria Marie Correa Clapper, 85, passed away on January 11, 2010, at Richland Rehab Center after a long illness. She was born to Joseph and Sarah Correa on January 29, 1924, in Echo, Oregon where she grew up and graduated from high school. On March 4, 1942, she married Clayton Clapper. They spent their first thirty years of marriage in Pasco. In 1974 they moved to Hermiston, Oregon. She and her son moved to Pasco May of 2008. Gloria Meme/Sis spent her life giving to others and was always there for whoever needed love and support. As the matriarch of a large family, she will be remembered as a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Her husband Clayton Clapper preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Gloria Jean & Tom Bowlin of Pasco; daughter and son-in-law Judy & Micheal Cavett of Port Townsend, WA; son Chuck Clapper of Pasco; sister Rita Bowman of Heppner, OR; sister Joeann Lou Murphy of Grants Pass, OR; brother Mike Joanne Espinola of LaGrande, OR; brother Larry Claire Espinola of LaGrande, OR as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by grandchildren Leslie & Richard Underwood of Richland; Lori & Bill Heyen of Pasco; Kevin & Carol Bowlin of Basin City; Michelle Cavett of Califon, NJ; Reneé & Paul Reeves of Neptune Beach, FL; Lisa & Scott Loos of North Bend, WA; Kristen & Ryan Bergsman of Seattle, WA; and Jason Clapper of Seattle, WA. Great-grandchildren include Leslie and Richard's children Jessica Jeff Ford, Blake Chandra Underwood; Brandi, Colt, Levi & Ashley Underwood; Lori & Bill's children Lacey, Dustin & Whitney Heyen; Kevin & Carol's daughter Amber Bowlin; Reneé & Paul's children Christopher & Laura Reeves. Great-great grandchildren include Jessica & Jeff's children Trevor, Taylor, Jamisyn & Rocco; Blake & Chandra's daughter Jocelyn; and Lacey's son Karter. A viewing will be held on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home, 1608 W. Court Street, Pasco, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, 11:00 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1320 W. Henry Street off 14th Street, Pasco. A reception at the church will follow the burial at City View Cemetery, Pasco. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Richland Rehab Center, 1745 Pike Avenue, Richland, WA 99354 or Franklin County Historical Society, 305 N. 4th Avenue, Pasco, WA 99301.
