Glen was 90 years old when he passed away June 15, 2008, at his home in Pasco, Washington. He was born January 1, 1918, in Bowman, North Dakota where his family had homesteaded from Lanesboro, Minnesota. He was one of 12 children born to parents Albert and Josephine Ruud Hansey. He was the last surviving member of his family. When Glen was a small child he was injured and the family moved to Washington State where he was at Children's Hospital for 18 months. He suffered a permanent leg injury that left him with a limp. He never let that disability get in the way of whatever he wanted to do and accomplish. Glen graduated from Bellingham High School in 1936 and then learned the trade of poultry sexing. During this time he met Agnes Orloske on St. Patrick's Day and fell in love immediately. They were married three months later on June 15, 1940 in Everett, Washington. They worked together side by side starting a poultry sexing business called "Hansey's Chick Sexing Service" in Versailles, Ohio which they operated for 40 years. They kept their home in Everett to be close to their families and lived and traveled back and forth between Versailles and Everett. In 1973 Glen and his brother Orris became partners and owned and operated Riviera Trailer Village in Pasco, Washington. Glen and Agnes continued working in Ohio until 1978 when they moved to Pasco permanently. They owned the mobile home park until 1984 but Glen continued to help manage the park with his niece Debbie until his death. Glen and Agnes enjoyed traveling and cruising all over the world. They enjoyed traveling with and sharing these times with many family members. Glen was a longtime member of the Pasco Eagles which he greatly supported. He loved playing Bingo there several times a week with family and friends. Glen lived a long full life and will be missed. Preceding him in death are his wife Agnes who died in 1999, his parents Albert and Josephine, his brothers and sisters Herbert, Walter, Gladys Dutton, Lloyd, Alvin, Ethel Cannon, Archie, Lester, Raymond, Marilyn Sharpe and Orris. Glen is survived by sisters-in-law Bernice and Alene. Glen and Agnes never had children of their own but their many nieces and nephews were their family. Glen and Aggie were a big part in so many of their lives throughout the years. He will be especially missed by his special nephew Gary Hansey who Glen loved as his own. Viewing will be Thursday, June 19, 2008, 3:00pm to 8:00pm and Friday, 10:00am until 2:00pm, at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home located at 1401 S. Union Street in Kennewick. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00pm on Friday at Mueller's Tri-Cities followed by Interment at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
