Glennis Elaine Delaney was born in Newbridge, Oregon to Leonard and Edna Moe on January 27, 1935. Glennis grew up in Richland, OR, and graduated from Eagle Valley Union High School in 1953. In August of that year, Glennis married Lyle Blank and had two children, Chance and Dean. During her marriage to Lyle, they lived in Salt Lake City, UT; Richland, OR; and Fort Benning, GA. In 1961, Glennis moved to the Tri-Cities where she married Sam Delaney and they had one son, Shawn. Glennis was a homemaker, Hanford worker and seamstress. She enjoyed gardening, painting, fishing, and spending time on the coast and in the mountains. She loved animals and had many over the years including dogs, cats, monkeys, birds and turkeys. Her home was often full of friends and family. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with those she loved. In her later years, she enjoyed the quiet of her home, spending time with her dogs, and tending to her flower garden. Glennis is survived by her children, Chance Blank Betsy of Kennewick, WA; Dean Blank Terri of Pasco, WA; grandchildren Chance Brandon Blank of Spokane, WA; Justin Blank of Kennewick, WA; Sean Blank and Sidney Blank of Pasco, WA. She is survived by her sisters Sharron Emmer of Kennewick, WA and Linda Presler of Nuevo, CA and brother Leonard Moe, Jr. Mary of Riverside County, CA. Glennis is survived by many nieces and nephews who were dearly loved and brought great joy to her throughout her life. She is preceded in death by her father Leonard Moe, Sr.; mother Edna Moe; husband Sam Delaney; son Shawn Delaney; and sister Evelyn Slater. Glennis will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A memorial service to honor Glennis' life will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, February 13 at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street, Kennewick, WA. Family and friends are invited to stay for a reception following the memorial service. Her children ask that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Glennis to the BentonFranklin Humane Society, 8620 W. Gage Blvd., Kennewick, WA 99336.
