Gilberto Garcia Jr, 62, of Pasco, Washington, passed away June 5, 2026 at Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco after several years of ill health. He was born to Gilberto M. Garcia and Yolanda Sotelo.

Gil was born in Eagle Pass, Texas. After several moves, the family settled in Kennewick where he attended St. Joseph's Catholic School. Gil graduated from Kennewick High School, lettering in 3 sports. He was an outstanding football player. He went on to graduate from Western Washington University in 1989 with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications.

On June 19, 1993 Gil married Ann Lauck. He is survived by his wife, Ann, his son, Tony Garcia and daughter Celine Garcia. He is also survived by his siblings Jesse, Olivia and Joel; nieces and nephews Joshua Garcia, Sara Razo, Jonathan Serrano, Michael Serrano, Monica Allred and many cousins; and also Malena and Raphael Del Poso, maternal Aunt and spouse who live in Kennewick.

The Mass will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 11:00am at Parish of the Holy Spirit 7409 W. Clearwater Ave. Kennewick, WA. Holyspiritkennewick.org. A rosary will be held at 10:00am.

There will be a luncheon following the Mass in the Parish Community Center with inurnment to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Kennewick at 2:00pm.
