Gerald Robert Gardner (Bob) of Kennewick went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 5th 2024, after a long battle with COPD. Bob was born in Bannon Pa. in the foothills of the Allegheny mountains. He was one of 10 children. He joined the Army and was stationed at the Saddle Mountain missile site just north of the Hanford reservation in Washington State. It was in Richland WA, that he met and married Sharon Kaiser. They were married 59 years before her death in 2018. Bob worked at the Boise Cascade Paper Mill in Wallula for 38 years as a painter. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping all over the Pacific Northwest. His favorite fishing area was the Hanford Reach where he caught countless number of Salmon and Steelhead. He passed his love of the outdoors on to his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Father Walter Philip Gardner and Mother Mary Ann Miller Gardner of Bannon PA. He is survived by sister Alice Hillard and her husband Robert of FL, brother Thurman (Chuck) Gardner of Bannon PA. Son, Gary Gardner and his wife Kathy of Pasco. Daughter, Lori Hively of Kennewick. Son, Tim Gardner and his wife Cillia of Kennewick. Grandchildren Justin Gardner and his wife Mindy of Pasco. Jennifer Gardner of Shreveport LA., Jacob Wolfer and his wife Jessra of Kennewick, Michelle Wolfer of Kennewick, Kaitlyn Gardner of Redmond OR, Sydnie Gardner of Redmond OR, Bella Cope of Pasco. 11 great grandchildren and 1 soon to be born great great grandchild. Also, many nieces and nephews here in the West and back East.

Mueller's Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. There will be a private graveside service for the family.
