George Moroni Simpson

March 6, 1933 – April 1, 2024

Mr. George Moroni Simpson, age 91, of Ellensburg, Washington passed away on April 1, 2024. He was born on March 6,1933, in Evanston, Wyoming to Marvel Woolstenhulme Simpson and Laura Kleinman. George honorably served in the Army during the Korean War.

A man of many talents and passions, George spent most of his life farming. He was known for his toughness, yet possessed a tender heart when it came to his faith. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. George cherished his family, especially his beloved wife, Barbara, with whom he shared a deep bond. They enjoyed road trips, holding hands and dancing together. George was also a skilled dance instructor who shared his love for dancing with many over the years.

George is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Jean Simpson, and his sister Connie Nowling. His children: Bret Alan Simpson, Lori Ve Rindlisbacher, Aron Edward Simpson and Patty Belinda Bower. He was preceded in death by his Father, Mother, Brother, and Sister.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire generations to come.

The service will be held April 13, 2024 at 11:00am at the LDS Church Gage Blvd in Richland.
