Gene M. White, 87, of Pasco, WA joined his beloved wife Opal Reimann in Heaven on Wednesday, May 16. Gene was born and raised in the mountains of Idaho to Melburn and Agnes White with his sister, June. At age 15, he met Opal and, after serving in WWII, they were married in Mountain Home, Idaho. Gene and Opal shared a home his parents built for them from a railroad bridge. Oh how they loved it, even with just a spring running through it and no electricity. They were happiest in the mountains. In 1950 they moved to Tri-Cities and continued to build their family. Gene worked at Big Pasco, the Hanford site, and eventually ended up at Chevron Chemical, from which he retired. Gene is survived by his three children, daughters Carol Lowery Mike and Susan Roy, and son Greg White Paulette; grandchildren Jean Chapman, Chris Benson Sara, Cameron White Cajsha, and Marcie White; and 4.333 great-grandchildren. Gene lived a long and fulfilled life with a love of family, fishing, and his dogs. His family would like to invite family and friends to share in his memory on Sunday, May 20 from 2 - 4pm at his home.
