Gary Louis Sall, 57, a lifelong resident of Pasco, WA passed away May 31, 2011. He was born on July 12, 1953 in Pasco, WA to James and Doris Clerget Sall. He graduated from Pasco High School in 1971 and married Barbara Vooge on October 23, 1971 and began raising his family. He began his carpenter's apprenticeship at 19 and started as a journeyman with Local 1849 in 1976. He was a heavy construction carpenter for years before he began building homes, working closely with his grandfather, father, and brother Doug, all of whom he loved working with and from whom he learned much. He began his career at Hanford in 1983 as a maintenance carpenter. He worked at many of the areas where he met and made many friends. He was one of few people who truly loved his job. He was an incredibly unselfish and giving man who always put others before himself. After meeting him, you had a friend for life. He was a coach for his son Bryan's soccer team, and led the undefeated Pasco Rowdies with his best friend Brad Allen for 6 years. He was the high scorer in his bowling team, The Hosers. He loved to travel with his wife, family, and friends, trekking anywhere from England to any small town with an antique auction. He will forever be in the hearts of his loving wife, Barbara; his father, James; his brothers, Jim Judy and Doug Cindy; and his sister, Susan Cooper; his sons, Trevor Jenny and Bryan Paige Jana; his Daughter, Brandee Rance Femreite; and six grandchildren, Kellen 16, Adison 9, Grady 6, Griffin 6, Lena 4, and Molly 4. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris and brother-in-law Gary Cooper. He died from chronic toxic encephalopathy Type 3 due to chemical exposure during his 25 year career at Hanford, 15 of which were at the Tank Farms. He was a true Cold War Patriot. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Assembly Christian Center, in Pasco. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hanford Challenge in memory of Gary Sall or Cure JM Foundations for his grandson Griffin Sall, who is currently in remission.
