Frank A. Naccarato, 87, peacefully joined God on September 18 surrounded by his loved ones. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and greatgrandfather. Born March 3, 1921, in Priest River, Idaho, he was the youngest of fifteen children born to Angelo and Maria Theresa Naccarato, Italian immigrants, who homesteaded to this great country. He served four years in the Army Air Corps during WWII and married Sanda Appa, his sweetheart, on March 27, 1945, the same year he was honorably discharged. He went on to receive his B.A. and Masters degrees from Gonzaga University and moved his family to Kennewick, WA in 1948 to teach at Kennewick Junior High. He then became a Boys' Counselor, and later, an Assistant Principal at Park Junior High. After retiring, Frank served one term on the Kennewick School Board. For being a man of few words, Frank had a huge impact on his students' lives and valued the many friendships he made over the years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and always went out of his way for his grandchildren. He loved gardening, having morning coffee with his crew at McDonald's, traveling to Italy, watching the Game Show Network, and weekly excursions to Wildhorse Casino. He will be missed by his wife of 63 years, Sanda; daughter Sherri and her husband Richard Jones; son Mike and his wife Cheryl Naccarato; son Steve and his wife Annabel Naccarato; son Scott and his wife Julie Naccarato; grandchildren Amy Larry Alvarado, Nicholas April Jones, Danielle Naccarato, Adriana Naccarato, Bailie Mark Alvarado, Michael Vittoria Naccarato, Annalisa Naccarato, and Gabrielle Naccarato; great-grandchildren Alyxandra Olivera, Giana Olivera, Joaquin Olivera, Marquis Ford, Nia Ford, Ava Alvarado, Carmine Naccarato, and Lorenzo Alvarado. Services will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kennewick. Viewing is at 9 a.m. in the church. Rosary is at 10 a.m., with funeral Mass following at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Mueller's Funeral Home at 10th and Union immediately after the Mass. A reception will be held at St. Joseph's Dillon Hall following burial.
