Francis Eugene Hickman passed away at home on December 30th 2023 at the age of 83. He was born January 31st 1940 in Pittsburg Kansas to Nomie and Priscilla Hickman. The family moved to Kennewick in 1948 for work at Hanford. Francis attended the Kennewick school system until 1958. He joined the U.S. National Guard and served in the army reserves until January 1966.  Later he worked as a Hanford patrolman until joining the Plumbers and Steamfitters local 598 and worked until retirement in 2002.

Francis met the love of his life, Irene Wilber, on December 7th 1958 and were married on August 20th 1960. Together they had three children, Douglas, Vicki and Michael.

He leaves behind his wife of 63 years Irene Hickman, Daughter Vicki Montgomery (husband Richard) and son Michael Hickman (wife Val), 4 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by grandson Austin Stevens, and son Douglas Ray Hickman.

Francis was loved and respected by family and all who knew him. He will be forever missed.

Funeral services will be held at Mueller's Tri-Cities funeral home 1401 S. Union Street, Kennewick WA on Thursday, January 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM. Gravesite service and Celebration of life to follow. There will be a viewing preceding the service from 10:00 - 11:45.
