On February 14th, 2012, Frances Newman, 74, peacefully left this earth surrounded by her loving children at Kennewick General Hospital. Frances was born August 23, 1937, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Dennis and Ann Lucy. Frances lived her life through her family. She absolutely loved attending all her family's sporting/school events and family dinners. She was very proud of each and every one of them and loved them all very much. She was also deeply loved by everyone that had the opportunity to know her and she will be deeply missed - but lovingly remembered. Frances returned to school in 1977, attending Columbia Basin College. Her family was very proud of her accomplishment as she earned a bookkeeping degree. With her degree she worked with several child care centers; Small Wonders Child Care, New Horizons Child Care Center and Mid-Columbia Coalition for Children. Not only was she involved with her bookkeeping skills, she was also instrumental in the emotional support for the staff and children. She is survived by her daughters Lucy Rob Nelson of Kennewick, Debbie Cole of Kennewick; son Rick Helen Newman of Oro Valley, AZ; grandchildren Marcus & Chad Nelson, Kim Damon Armeni, Lucas Cole, Angela Mike Finney, Lauryn Newman, Michael Griffith, Benjamin Griffith; and four great-grandchildren Dalen, Brooke, Logan and London. She is also survived by her dear brother, Dennis Lucy, MD, of Little Rock, Arkansas. Memorial services will be Friday, February 17, 2012, 10:00 a.m., at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, located at 1401 S. Union Street in Kennewick.
