Obituary

Fernie Coe, 76, of Kennewick, Washington, passed away on October 19, 2025, after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer.

She was born on August 31, 1949, in Oliver, British Columbia, to Gus and Helen Bauder.

Fernie was a beloved mother and grandmother. Over the years, she enjoyed growing an extensive garden and selling her produce in addition to working on their family orchard while raising her sons. In 2012, she moved to Kennewick, WA where she was a dedicated volunteer with Friends of the Library and deeply passionate about helping them raise money through their book sales and finding ways to inspire a love of reading in children. In 2021, She successfully fought both skin cancer and breast cancer. In 2024, she was diagnosed once again with cancer and continued to fight hard.

She will be remembered for her strong convictions, her passions for reading, gardening, slot machines and conservative politics.

Fernie is survived by her son Ryan, daughter-in-law Jennifer, grandchildren Garrett, Kenzie, Tate; son Aaron, his significant other Kateen Solberg and grandchildren Karsen and Savannah.
