Everett D. Haugen Ed was born on April 15, 1934 to Joe and Evelyn Haugen in Bottineau, ND. He passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2011 in Seattle, Washington. Preceeded in death by father Joseph in 1980 and mother Evelyn in 1983. Everett married Gloria Neitzel on November 4, 1961. He is survived by loving wife of 49 years Gloria, son Darrell Haugen of Kennewick, daughter Cheryl Holland Dan of Kennewick, son David Kist Bea of Elma, Washington, son Duane Kist Cheryl of Kennewick and his little buddy Dylan Holland, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He also is survived by sister Dee Bold of Kennewick. He will be greatly missed by all. Everett enjoyed going camping with family and friends, going to the Oregon Coast, watching NASCAR and the Denver Broncos or any team playing against the Seahawks!. He attended 4 NASCAR races in Vegas and was eager to go back. He also enjoyed sitting around and visiting with friends at American Legion. Everett was a member of American Legion Post 34 in Pasco and VFW in Richland. Served in the US Air Force 1953-1973 and served in Vietnam. Upon retiring from the Air Force, Everett owned and operated Willows Trailer Court from 1973-2007. He always liked to be on the go, so he decided to become a truck driver. He drove for GLB Farms and TWT. He finally retired in 2007, when he and Gloria bought their current home in Pasco. He took great pride in their home and yard. He was always coming up with something new to do to his yard. Viewing and visitation will be Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 5 to 8:00 p.m. at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home at 1401 S. Union St. Kennewick, Washington. Memorial services will be on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. followed by military honors with an additional viewing beginning at 9:00 a.m. Gathering at American Legion in Pasco to follow. In Lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to American Legion, Post 34 or American Diabetes Association.
