Eula (Faye) Henry, beloved wife and sister, was born in Calico Rock AR to loving parents James Henry Durig and Pearlene Henrietta Durig on March 17, 1944. She left this life to be with her Heavenly Father on February 22, 2024. She is survived by her loving husband, Chuck Henry, sister, Martha JoAnn Strickland, nephew Marc Strickland, niece Clara Mae Dostie, and brother-in-law George Strickland. She was preceded in death by her mother and father. Faye passed away very peacefully at home with her husband Chuck and long time devoted friend Barbara at her side.

Faye and her family moved to the Prosser WA area in 1960. She graduated from Prosser High School in 1962 and from Kinman Business University Spokane in 1963. After working as a secretary for a few years she decided to become a teacher. In 1971 she graduated from Abilene Christian College TX with her education degree. Her first teaching job was in Tillamook, Oregon. She taught there for two years and then went to Michigan Christian College for one year where she taught business subjects and was Dean of Women.

Faye decided to move closer to her parents in Prosser. She got her old job back at Tillamook HS and headed for home. She stayed with her parents in Prosser for a few weeks. One Sunday she met Chuck Henry at church services. It was like they both knew at that moment there was something special between them. They were married on August 10, 1974. They stayed happily married until Faye's passing. That's almost 50 wonderful years of sharing their lives together.

During her second stay in Tillamook and later in Corvallis she earned advanced degrees in education: An MS degree in Business Education from Oregon State University, and an MS degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oregon. After several years in Oregon, Faye and Chuck moved to the Tri-Cities where Chuck taught at CBC for many years and Faye was a school counselor at Kennewick High School for over 20 years. Between teaching and counseling Faye spent almost 40 years as an educator.

Faye was a devoted Christian and was involved in church activities. She will be remembered for the care she bestowed on other people. From her high school students to elderly members of the congregation and everyone in between she was always ready to help others. She would not hold back her time or resources to assist them. She will be remembered for her friendly, happy, outgoing, energetic nature. Her joy in life was always apparent. She was a hard worker and honestly she never met a stranger.
