Estrella Sandy Trevino of Pasco entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday May 9, 2013 in Kennewick, Washington. Estrella was born on July 25, 1941 to Manuel and Esther Armijo in Edinburg, Texas. She was one of 11 children. At an early age Estrella and her family migrated from Texas to Walla Walla, Washington where she made her early home. This is where she met the love of her life Arthur Trevino and later married him on February 10, 1962. They made their home in Grandview, Washington until they moved to the Tri-Cities in 1998. They raised three children Angel Trevino, Ruben Trevino, and Cynthia Honeycutt. Estrella grew up understanding discipline and hard work. She was a Teacher's Aide in the Grandview and Kennewick School District's for 30 years and was retired at the time of her passing. She always enjoyed teaching and helping children to learn and succeed with their education. She always had a way of making everyone feel welcomed and important. There was nothing she wouldn't do to make everyone feel they were her priority. Estrella had a lot of hobbies but none more than shopping. She enjoyed going out dancing with her brothers and sisters and their husbands and wives. She loved to travel and made it priority to routinely visit her daughter in Las Vegas and sisters in California. Estrella loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was dedicated to serving him and bringing others to know him. Estrella could always be found in the church pews Sunday mornings. Estrella is preceded in death by her parents Manual and Esther Armijo, one sister Lupe Armijo Zapata, three brothers Francisco Armijo, Manuel Armijo, Rosalio (Chalo) Armijo. Estrella is survived by her three children Angel Trevino, Ruben Trevino, and Cynthia Honeycutt, sisters Margarita Llamas, Emelia Moreno and husband Rodolfo, Amparo Arredondo and husband Bobby, Estella Lugo and husband Gilbert, MaryAnn Zapata and husband Julio; and one brother Joe Armijo and wife Sharon. Mom we know this is not a final goodbye because we know we will all be together again one day in heaven. Thank you for always being a wonderful mother that was loving and caring and always giving of your unconditional love. We Love you, your children, family, and friends. The family would like to extend a big thank you to the nurses at Kadlec Oncology Unit for your dedication in caring for our mother during her time there. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home 1401 S. Union in Kennewick.
