Esther Bertha Smith passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 3. She was born in Vesta Minnesota on November 7, 1915. She married Godfrey Smith before moving to Washington. She took pride in being a nurse at Kennewick General Hospital for several years. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church and First Lutheran Church, Kennewick. "Grandma" spent a lot of time working on various crafts and taking care of her family. She touched a lot of lives and will be dearly missed. Esther was preceeded in death by her husband, Godfrey William Smith. She is survived by sons LaRalle Janet Smith, Russell Diana Smith and daughter Judy Bill Eller; Grandchildren, Michael, Valerie, Maryann, Phil, Marta, Cassandra, Kellee, Alyssa, Gretchen and Brent; 16 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandhildren and very special friend Margaret Leaf. The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Wayne Kohan, Caregivers Marillyn Baker, IdaMae Samsel, Viola Carter, Kim Banda and Carolyn Hobson. Visitation at Mueller's Funeral Home on Union Street on Monday, April 6, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of her life will be held at First Lutheran Church, 418 N.
