Erna G. Jensen passed away at home with her family by her side on January

22, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. She was born January 29, 1934 in

Erna met the love of her life, Martin Jensen, while he was serving in Germany

and they married September 25, 1955 in Sandpoint, Idaho; they were married

60 years.

In her early years, she worked for the US commissary in Darmstadt,

Germany. After coming to the US, she worked by her husband's side logging in

Kennewick where she began her career working in the labs of food

processing industries. She worked for Prosser Pack, Rogers of Walla Walla

and Welch's which she retired from in 1992. She was an extremely hard

worker.

She had many interests: gardening, sewing, crocheting, cooking,

Erna loved hosting family holiday dinners. After her husband Martin became

ill, she took very good care of him for many years. After he passed she

still took care of the farm for 2 more years before selling and moving to

Hawthorne Court where she made many new friends. She loved playing bingo

with the girls (Sharon and Lael) on Saturday nights.
