Eric Allen Borsheim, resident of Kennewick, WA, passed away too young on April 10, 2025, just four weeks after being diagnosed with advanced renal cancer. Born on September 13, 1964, to George and Judy Borsheim in Pasco, WA, Eric and his generosity will long be remembered.

Eric attended Fruitland Elementary and Highlands Middle School in Kennewick, WA, and graduated from Skyline High School in Idaho Falls, ID, in 1983. He received his AA in Computer Technology from Columbia Basin College and attended the University of Idaho, Bellevue College, and South Seattle College, earning numerous IT certifications in Microsoft and Cisco technologies.

Eric's career in technology began at Keytronic in Cheney, WA, before moving on to Microsoft. For the past several years, he served as an IT Systems Administrator for the City of Kennewick. He was well-known for his passion for music, particularly rock and metal, and was an accomplished guitar player. Eric once won a radio contest to meet Ozzy Osbourne by correctly reciting Ozzy's R-rated-for-profanity recipe for eggs and got Ozzy to autograph an apron with the recipe.

Eric was also an avid DIY enthusiast and took pride in tackling home maintenance and improvement projects. He loved cars and car racing, especially Formula One, NASCAR, and NHRA drag racing and was restoring a classic Chevy. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle; fishing, camping, and boating with friends; and spending time with family. He was exceptionally generous with his time and effort, always willing to help with a house, yard, or car project, lift heavy things, make a long drive, or help someone move.

Eric is survived by his mother Judy Borsheim, brother Mike Borsheim, sister Cynthia Borsheim, niece Charlotte Underwood, uncle Herb & aunt Cheryl Champlin, aunt Sandy Borsheim, and many cousins and extended family members.

Eric was preceded in death by his father George Borsheim, uncle Eugene Borsheim, and aunt Nancy Ostergaard. Every day, he also missed the dear friends who passed before him — especially Rob Laws, Dave Thompson, Ed Fowler, Matt Meldazis, and Craig Brazell.

All are invited to a graveside service on Saturday, May 17, at 1pm at Desert Lawn Memorial Park (1401 S. Union St. in Kennewick), with a celebration of life immediately following at Kennewick First Lutheran Church fellowship hall (418 N. Yelm Street in Kennewick).
