Eric Shayne Bender

Eric Shayne Bender, age 53, passed in the early morning on April 3, 2023

due to an unexpected complication after surgery.

Eric was born in Pasco, WA on September 18, 1969 to Ralph Bender and Carol

Brisby. He grew up in Finley, WA and enjoyed playing sports especially

baseball and softball. He graduated from Finley High School in 1988. Eric

married the love of his life Tammy in 1997 and celebrated 25 years of

marriage. He cherished the opportunity he had with helping raise Tammy's

two boys Tyler and Garrett. Eric's greatest joy was being Grampy to his

grandson Weston. Eric was the best husband, father, grandfather, son,

brother, uncle, and friend and will be greatly missed.

Eric was proceeded in death by his mother Carol Brisby and step mother

Jackie Bender.

Eric is survived by his wife Tammy, stepsons Tyler Wilz and Garrett (Sara)

Wilz, grandson Weston, in laws David and Merry McKenzie, brother in law

Scott (Kris) McKenzie, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He leaves behind his father Ralph Bender, step father Pete Brisby, two

brothers David (Christy) Bender and Jason (Jami) Bender and sister Jamie

(Don) Perry, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eric enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed BBQ and smoking meats. Eric was

greatly loved by his family and friends and will be sorely missed.

Graveside service at Desert Lawn Memorial Park 1401 S. Union St, Kennewick on Saturday,

April 8 at 11 am with a reception to follow at Life Tributes Center 314 W. First Ave.,

Kennewick.
