Elva Rosa Parra Cornejo, age 66 of Kennewick, Washington, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday June 4th, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 20th 1949 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. She was raised in and around Crystal City, Texas by her mother Maria Rodriguez and Gregorio Rodriguez and was the oldest of ten children; Blanca, Rosa, Rosario, Josie, Mary, Maribel, Dolores, Feliz and Greg. She loved horses, gardening, especially roses, being outdoors and spending time with family. She is survived by her husband Roberto Cornejo, son Roberto Jr., daughter Nancy, and Jeremy Peterson who was like a son to her. Elva was a paraeducator and homemaker throughout her life. She was always a problem solver for friends and family in times of need. She was a very loving and caring person that always had a positive outlook on life. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 10th, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on 520 S Garfield St, in Kennewick. Burial will follow at Riverview Heights Cemetery 1200 S. Olympia St. in Kennewick.
