Elena Mora Avila, daughter of Rafael Avila and Consuelo Morales, born on March 3rd, 1955 in El Guayabillo, Michoacan, Mexico, passed away on August 19th, 2021 in her home at the age of 66. Newly married to Ramon Mora, they both immigrated to the U.S. in 1972 where she first, mostly worked in agriculture, eventually retiring from the Migrant Headstart as a bus aide. She was a resident of the Tri-Cities for 48 years. She was such a loved daughter, sister, mother-in-law, grandma, great-grandma but most of all mother. Because of her loving personality, she made lifelong friends that cared for her dearly. She will be greatly missed by many, especially her children. May she rest in peace. She is survived by her 7 children; Miguel Mora, Ramon Mora Jr., Maria Gonzalez, Teresa Vargas, Mirella Mora, Alfonso Mora, and Rafael Mora; 21 grandchildren, 2 of which she will meet from heaven, Leo and Catalina; and 2 great-grandchildren.
