Ed Tullis of Kennewick, Washington passed away peacefully on June 16, 2008 at his home in the company of loving family and friends. Ed was born January 15, 1929 in Nampa, Idaho. He spent his youth and school years hunting and fishing in Idaho and had an active and athletic youth. He served in the Air Force when he became of age. After returning from the military he met the love of his life Yvonne Betts. They spent their early years in the Nampa area where Ed had his own radiator shop. Later they moved to Moses Lake, Washington where Ed worked in a radiator shop at first and then at Boeing as an aircraft mechanic and eventually selling cars in that area. In 1963, Ed and Yvonne moved to the Tri-Cities. Ed sold cars at fist then became a successful massage therapist and then land developer for the remainder of his life. During their 45 years in the Tri-Cities area Ed made life long friends that remained close and loving throughout his final days. Ed remained an avid outdoorsman and loved camping, fishing and hunting with family and friends all of his life. Ed's tremendous generosity and helpfulness has forever endeared him to his close friends and family. His love of the outdoors has allowed all of us to enjoy many of the world's treasures and we are all grateful and honored to have spent our time with this force of nature. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Victor Brooks for his care and support. He certainly went above and beyond the call of duty. Another special thanks to the nursing care given by Nancy Weikel niece and Blanca Coleman granddaughter and Tierney Tullis daughter for her loving and constant support. No funeral services are planned at this time. A Memorial Service will be held at the Family campground in Sumpter, Oregon Labor Day weekend Saturday, August 30, 2008.
