Edward Leo Ash, Sr. Edward Leo Ash, Sr. was born on June 11, 1916 to Clara and Walter Ashe, Sr. in St. Stephens, Alabama. Edward was the fifth and youngest child born of the union. All have preceded him in death including one granddaughter, one grandson, and one great granddaughter. Ed leaves to mourn his wife Elma of 72 years of marriage, four children, Mary, Betty, Angie, and Edward Jr. Within this family unit, there are 16 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Also, there are three godchildren, Gabrielle Sinclair, Crystal Robinson, and Demar Weathers; special friends Ed Ray, Mr. & Mrs. Roland Sinclair, and Wheeler Smith. Ed had a strong work ethic. He worked thirty plus years for a Hanford contractor starting with the Manhattan Project in the early forties. He was also a devout member of Local 348. Ed loved to plant gardens, fish, and most of all church. Ed accepted Jesus as his savior at an early age. Moving to the Tri-Cities he became a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church where he was president of the choir, president of the trustee board, and a diligent usher believing in Psalm 84:10. Visitation will be held Monday, March 19, 2012 from 5 to 8:00 p.m. at Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home in Pasco. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. at Faith Assembly Christian Center 1800 N. Rd. 72 Pasco, WA. Repast will follow after graveside service.
