Edgar Cousineau passed away in Finley, Washington at age 53 surrounded by his parents. Friends and family are saddened he lost his battle to alcoholism.

Ed lived his life with an amazing amount of energy, always working on multiple projects. He was a railroad engineer for BNSF for 11 years at the same time that he was an orchardist with his parents, growing acres of cherries and apples. He started learning carpentry from his dad as a child. Over the years he built many houses and was apart of countless more building projects including working the outages at Hanford. He was a proud union member and loved his union brothers.

He had a knack for learning how to do things. Many found his knack for fixing anything remarkable. It was a talent that Ed didn't seem to think twice about. He loved to help family and friends to get things done.

Ed had many interests, including a decades-long enthusiasm for clean energy. He installed solar on many of his projects. He loved the outdoors and visited hot springs all over the Northwest. He loved freshwater fishing and skiing in the Blue mountains. Ed loved taking long bike trips with friends and family, and followed Rails To Trails projects as they progressed. Ed always had a dog and is survived by his labrador, Cooper.

Born in Portland, Ed's overjoyed parents Steven Ernest Cousineau and Sheryl Rogers Cousineau raised him in Springdale, Oregon. Ed graduated from Corbett High School and later received a bachelor's degree from Washington State. His curiosity was lifelong and he strongly supported education.

He moved to Finley, Washington outside of Kennewick with his folks in 1993. Ed married Lauri Hayes in 1999 and they were married for 20 years. Ed gained two step sons, Nick and Wade Collins. In 2001, Lauri and Ed had a daughter Brianna Lynn.

Ed is survived by his parents, his sister Jennifer Patterson (Dan), his beloved daughter and her brothers, along with aunts Kathy Cumiford, Lori Rone (Randy), Debbie Finney; uncles Mike Cousineau (Lisa), Mark Cousineau, pre-deceased by Joe Cousineau. Also several nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved very much, as well as many more friends and family. Ed's family is grateful for the outpouring of love and support.
