Dwight Edward Bolton, born March 23, 1937, in Seattle, WA, went to be with his Lord Jesus on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Lois Reid Dearing Bolton, and his three daughters and their families: Sandra and Daniel Fisher and their sons, Timothy (Hannah) and James (Meara); Shari and Mark Hinckley and their sons, Scott (Amy), David (Samantha), and Daniel (Kaleigh); Denise and Scott Wood and their children, Nathan (Risa) and Hannah Dawson (Nicholas). He is also survived by his 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Janice L. (Cassell) Bolton, also from Kittitas, and his parents Homer Daniel and Odessa Marguerite (Bennett) Bolton.

Dwight's family moved to the Kittitas Valley when he was five years old. He graduated from Kittitas High School in 1955 and enlisted in the US Navy as a photographer's mate. He married Janice in 1957, raising their three daughters in various duty stations around the world. In 1968, Dwight was selected to become a Navy warrant officer with the RA-5C Vigilante aircraft squadrons in Albany, GA. After a few years, he was honored to become a Limited Duty Photo Officer at the rank of Lieutenant, J.G. In 1983, he retired as a Lieutenant Commander with 28 years of service.

Upon his retirement, Dwight moved his family to Ellensburg where he became a respected real estate agent in the Kittitas Valley. He served the Lord at Chestnut Street Baptist Church as a deacon and treasurer for many years. After Janice's death in 2010, he married Lois Dearing. Due to health issues, he spent his last year with Lois at Ciel Assisted Living in Kennewick. Dwight will be remembered for his deep faith in Christ, his untiring commitment to the church, his unending love for his family, his generous spirit, and his dedication as a prayer warrior.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Chestnut Street Baptist Church in Ellensburg on June 11, 2026, at 11:00 am.
