Dr. Jerome (Jerry) Calvey, age 75, passed away on June 9 at Kadlec Hospital after suffering from several illnesses for the past 2 years. He is survived by his wife, Sophie, of 48 years of marriage and his family, Maria, Patrick, Brendan, Bridget & Kathryne & 2 grandsons, Anthony & Ryan. His siblings are Ron Calvey/ Marge; Dee Wischmann & Nancy Barry/ Joe and many nieces & nephews. He was a loving husband & true family man. His Irish background stressed education, high standards in life, laughter and a strong faith in god. His educational achievements included a BA from University of St. Thomas, MN; Doctorate of Law, Mississippi School of Law, MS; MBA, as well as some PhD studies from Golden Gate Univ., CA. His family wishes to thank his doctors, Dr. Datta, Dr. Concedo, Dr. Hamner, Dr. Breeden; the In-Home Health Care staff, as well as the staff at Kadlec Hospital. Jerry was a member of the Parish of the Holy Spirit, enjoyed the friendships there & valued the leadership of Fr. Auve'. We thank KC Help for health-care equipment & constant support of Jerry. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus & helped as long as he physically could. Jerry will remain a loved & respected man by many family & friends & will be greatly missed. Viewing will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, with the Rosary at 6:30pm. The mass will be Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, followed by burial at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Kennewick.
