Our gentle giant, Douglas P. Rada of Burbank went home to his Heavenly Father on November 1st after a courageous battle with cancer. Doug was born on July 9th, 1956 and spent his whole life in Burbank where he graduated from Columbia High School in 1974. Doug loves playing sports and enjoyed the annual ecology trip which he still talked about. From the age of 9, Doug worked summers with his father and his hard work and dedication eventually lead to him being co-owner of Rada INC. Doug had a huge heart and kind demeanor which made him leave lasting impressions on whoever he met while completing a job. Doug created an extra special brother like bond with his long time coworkers Mark Enloe and Ed Walker. After the passing of his father, Doug took over his buffalo farm and took pride in sharing his hard work by providing countless meals to friends and family. Doug had a passion for golf and looked forward to hosting a company tournament for 22 years. Every tournament was filled with laughing, story telling, and a very unserious round of golf. Doug loved the outdoors whether it was tending to his huge yard or on an annual deep sea fishing trip to the Washington coast or Alaska. Doug was a huge part of his family and never missed out on time with them, whether it was watching Survivor or a football game, or a BBQ, or on a weekend get away. Doug survived by and was loved dearly by his brothers John Rada (Shirley), Ron Rada (Jeanne), Joe Rada (Deanne) sisters Deby Rada and Patsy Hull (and special brother in law Mike), and numerous nieces and nephews. Doug is proceeded in death by his mother Dolores Rada, father Elmer Rada and brother Rick Rada. Doug greeted everyday with a smile and we encourage friends and family to come and celebrate a wonderful life. Services will be held at 11 am on Thursday Novermber 10th, at St. Patrick's Church in Pasco. In lieu of flowers please donate to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance or St Jude.
