Douglas Bryan Elliott

October 20th, 1954 – June 4th, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Douglas Bryan Elliott at age 70 following a hard-fought battle with leukemia. Doug was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Doug is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Karen (Sullivan), (son) Travis and Julie Elliott, (daughter) Tiffany and Scott Smiley, (daughter) Michelle and Peter Clark, (daughter) Nicole and Andy Cooper, (sister) Leslie and Jeff Renz, and (sister) Lori and Jeff Allen. Doug was also a proud grandfather (aka "Papa") to eleven grandchildren: Noah, Mallory, Grady, Jameson, Graham, Baylor, Camryn, Winston, Elliott, Maika, and Colbie, whose lives he touched with warmth, wisdom, and love.

Born October 20th, 1954, to Donna (Foxley) and Truman Elliott, Doug grew up on a farm in Eltopia, WA, where he developed a love for the land and the cowboy way of life. He graduated from Pasco High School in 1973 and, after farming for a few years in Eltopia, Doug began a career at Stoneway Electric where he worked for over 40 years until his retirement in 2020.

A lifelong resident of the Tri-Cities, "Cowboy Doug" had a passion for giving back to his community. He volunteered at the Benton-Franklin County Fair & Rodeo beginning in 1992 and served on the Fair Board from 2004 until his death. Doug was also an avid sports fan who loved rooting on his children and grandchildren as they competed in various activities over the years.

Those who knew Doug will remember him as a man of quiet strength who's carefully chosen words carried great meaning. He was a true gentleman, a loyal friend, and a hardworking father and husband.

We will miss you dearly, Doug, but it gives us great comfort knowing that you are riding across the greenest of all pastures in God's Kingdom of Heaven. Ride high, Doug. Ride high.
