Dorothy L. Lepper passed to the Lord on March 10, 2006 after an extended illness. Dorothy was born in Leavenworth, WA. on Sept. 20, 1918. She graduated from Leavenworth High School and then attended Central Washington State College and obtained a degree in photography. Dorothy went to San Francisco and worked for Kodak Eastman Co., then was able to go to work for the Navy as a civilian employee driving trucks. She met her husband to be, B.D. "Lee" Lepper. Upon Lee's discharge from the Navy, Dorothy met him in Chicago, Ill. and they were married on January 27, 1946. They moved to Leavenworth, WA. and for 30 years Mr. Lepper was partner in the "Yes Sir" Chevrolet dealership. Dorothy had many talents besides photography. SHe was able to study cake decoration and created beautiful cakes that delighted everyone. Her artistic talents carried over to oil painting and she was the first artist asked to display her paintings at the Seattle First National Bank in Leavenworth, WA. Dorothy was employed for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier. The first womens president of the Leavenworth Golf Association, Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star in Leavenworth, and Kennewick, WA. Dorothy enjoyed bowling, using driftwood to make beautiful fried arrangements and loved to create flower arrangements. Dorothy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved life and all the beauty that God gave us in the outdoors. Dorothy is survived by her husband, B.D. "Lee" Lepper, son Lon L. Lepper, grandchildren, Ron Lepper and wife Trish, Lee Lepper and wife Jill, Lisa Abraham and husband Shawn and Ann Brunner and fiance' Jesse Michaels. Daughter Barbara J. Knapp and husband Jim, grandchildren Jessica Lysiak and husband Kevyn, Gena Craft and husband Keith, Kim Monoian and husband Kyle and Jody Rutherford and fiance' Greg Gales. Also 16 great grandchildren. Nephews Jerry, Jim and David Foster. Dorothy is preceded in death by her mother and father Mary Ella and Lin R. Hart. Sisters Elsa Jo Hart and Imogene Foster and brother Sam Hart. Memorial Service will be held on Sat., March 18, 2006 at 1p.m at the Kennewick Church of the Nazarene, 2402 S. Union in Kennewick. Private interment at Desert Lawn Cemetery in Kennewick.
