Dorothy Mae Greeenough, a 70-year resident of Tri-Cities, passed away on February 25, 2026, at age 92 in West Richland. She was born on July 22, 1933, to her parents Shirley and Alta Miller, in Davenport Washington. Dorothy grew up in Connell with her eight siblings. Before her senior year of high school, the family moved to Coquille Oregon. After graduation, Dorothy attended Eastern Oregon University, where she completed a degree for Dental Assistant.

In 1955 Dorothy moved to the Tri-Cities and began working for dentist Maynard Campbell. She met the love of her life, Keith Greenough at the dentist's office where he was a patient. After a few visits to the office Keith asked her out on a date to go square dancing. They enjoyed each other's company, fell in love and married in May 1962. They enjoyed their 52-year marriage until Keith's passing in June 2014. Keith and Dorothy were blessed with the birth of their son Keith Jr in 1963 and two grandchildren in 1989 and 1991.

Dorothy was active with her family and community. In the 1960's she was a member of the Business and professional women's club and served as president of the Kennewick club. During this time, she began a new career as a customer service agent for Medical Service Corporation, where she worked for over 30 years helping customers with their medical insurance. In the 1970's she became a volunteer firefighter for Franklin County Fire District 3. In addition to being the Fire Chief's wife she responded to emergencies, operated the department's apparatus, supported the department staff and served the community. In 1977 she joined the National Grange Organization and until this past year served as the Columbia Valley Grange secretary. Throughout her life she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, researching genealogy, crafting, knitting, reading, building jig saw puzzles and watching Gonzaga basketball. She will be missed by her family and friends and is now at peace resting in a better place.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Keith Sr, parents and eight siblings. She is survived by her son, Keith Jr (Tina), Grandsons Bryce (Hannah) and Ryan (Megan), great granddaughter Hazel and many loving nieces and nephews.

Dorothy will be laid to rest with her husband at Mueller's Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Kennewick. A reception to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held on Friday March 13th, 2:00pm at Columbia Valley Grange, 6300 W Court St., Pasco, WA.
