Doris Mae Wiker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother peacefully passed away December 20, 2011 at Canyon Lakes Restorative and Rehab Center in Kennewick. She was 88. She shared a lifetime of memories with her family and friends. She and her husband Jack lived in the Canyon Lakes Retirement Village the past eighteen years. Doris had many dear friends in the neighborhood that she treasured. She was a member of Kennewick First Presbyterian Church. Doris is survived by her loving husband, Jack John, daughter Kathleen McDonald and son-in-law George of Bellevue, daughter Janice Dowdy and son-in-law, Paul of West Richland. She loved and was so proud of her five grandchildren, Brian McDonald and Kim Jordan, Scott McDonald and Nicole Beren, Conor McDonald and Molly Cruit, Jason and Sara Dowdy, Jennifer and Hans Appel. She was blessed to have four great-grandchildren, Clara Mae and Mason Dowdy and Helena and Sophia Jordan McDonald. Doris loved her family and always treasured time spent with them. The family would like to thank the numerous doctors, nurses and support staff at Kennewick General Clinic/Hospital and Canyon Lakes Restorative and Rehab Center for the loving care they provided Doris. In lieu of flowers Doris wanted everyone to take a moment to share their love with family and friends and do a "Random Act of Kindness" in her honor. A private graveside service is planned for the immediate family.
