Dono "Don" Leland Doescher, 89, of Kennewick, passed away on Saturday,

December 30, 2023 with his family by his side after a gallant battle with

congestive heart failure.

Born June 10 1934, in Estelline, South Dakota to Edwin and Agnes Doescher.

In June 1952, Dono graduated from Washington High School in Sioux Falls and

launched into the greatest prides of his life: his family and career. He

married his high school sweetheart, Donna Jean Hacket, on June 12, and

started his life as a carpenter the following week. They had their first

two children before a move to Pierre, SD in 1957. Their other three

children were born before the family moved to Kennewick in August 1965. In

June 1970, they purchased the house in Kennewick, called home and filled

with love and celebrations through the decades.

During his 70 years with the Carpenters Local Union 59, Dono established

business relationships throughout Eastern Washington. Donna and Dono owned

and operated All Doors, Inc., starting in March of 1984, and reigning as

the Overhead Door Products distributor of the Tri-Cities until retirement

in December 2009.

He was active with Donna as members of the Loyal Order of Moose, the

Kennewick First Lutheran Church, and the Prairie Shufflers Square Dancers.

He was an ardent fan of the Seattle Mariners, and he proudly supported

Donna's life as an avid bowler in the Mid-Columbia Women's Bowling

Association.

After the passing of his first love in 2012, he was blessed to find a great

love with fellow church member, Wanda Razey; making her his wife in

December of 2015. Dono and Wanda sang in the church choir, enjoyed

traveling with family, and spending cozy time at the Doescher family

mountain cabin.

After the loss of Wanda in 2020, Dono found pleasure in coffee with his

daughter, Dee, at the Kennewick Flower Shop, soda with the fellas at The

Keg, and meals with the regulars at Hill's Restaurant & Lounge, all where

his charm and wit will be greatly missed.

Dono is survived by his daughter Dee Chapman (Jordan), and his sons Dan

(Valerie), Derwin (Debbie), and Dondi (Jana), as well as 17 grandchildren,

21 great-grandchildren, sisters Maurene, Charlene, and Linda (Adam),

several nieces and nephews and an ever-expanding extended family.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Doreen J Soushek, his parents

Edwin and Agnes Doescher, his daughter-in-law Dawn Doescher, his son-in-law Les Chapman, his niece Cheryl Swayze, and his brothers-in-laws Warren Selvar and Richard Barnes.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 12, for public viewing from 4-7pm

at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 14th & Union Street, in Kennewick.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, at

Kennewick First Lutheran Church (Yelm & Hwy 395) with a reception to

follow. A graveside prayer for the family will be held at Desert Lawn

Memorial Park, following the service.
