During her early life, Donna's family moved several times during her teen years in Spokane, WA and you could find her on the back of her dad's Indian motorcycle that her dad would compete hill climb races in Spokane Valley. When she turned 16 the family moved to Kennewick where she graduated from Kennewick High School in 1955. While in high school Donna's passion turned to painting and she would be painting murals on the shops in downtown Kennewick before holidays. After graduation she got a job at a law office and then met Melvin Keller and married a year later.
During the early years of marriage, Melvin worked construction and found a passion in the electrical field and went through electrical apprenticeship and eventually starting their own electrical company, where Melvin did the bidding and installation and Donna did the bookkeeping, ordering material and scheduling. Later on in their life they closed the business and Melvin took a position for a large construction as an electrical administrator and they traveled throughout the US.
Kennewick was always their permanent home and some of her favorite activities were playing cards with friends, spending time with her kids, grandkids, traveling with her husband Melvin, to their cabin on the Oregon Coast, fishing, crabbing, painting and enjoying the sounds of the ocean and whale watching. Donna's favorite time of year were the holidays where family always gathered. She was always ready for a festive Christmas Eve with the extended families. Donna was a wonderful cook and would put together the best holiday dinners for her family and friends. She also took pride in crocheting baby blankets for all the great-grandkids. She was a wonderful artist and crafter. She was one of the kindest, giving, and most generous person, that was always ready with a gift, a helping hand, or having family visits in her home.
During her professional career, she held many positions such as bookkeeper and office manager for their business, school bus driver, courier and receptionist for TLC, homemaker, and housewife.
