Donna Marie Craven, age 93, passed away in the early morning of May 27, 2026, at The Chateau Adult Family Home in West Richland, WA. Our Mom and Nana will be deeply missed.

Donna was born on the Wilson Farm in Ellwood City, PA on June 26, 1932, to parents Omar and Ella (Drushel) Wilson. When Donna was young, her parents and her sister, Dorothy, moved off the farm and into a home in the Knox neighborhood.

Donna graduated in 1950 from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, PA. She then went to nursing school at Alleghany General Hospital in Pittsburg, PA. In 1952, Donna re-connected with her high school sweetheart, William C. Craven, when he returned from serving in the United States Army during the Korean War. Donna became a Registered Nurse in 1953. Donna and Bill were married on September 7, 1953, in Westview, PA. They moved to Kennewick, WA in 1955 and then to Pasco, WA in 1957. Donna's passion was the operating room, and she spent most of her career as a surgical nurse for Dr. Ray V. Rose and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Pasco, WA.

Upon retirement in 1989, Donna and Bill moved to Port Angeles, WA. They had 15 years of enjoyment on the Olympic Peninsula. They built a new home on a couple of acres with a wonderful view of the Olympic Mountains. They landscaped their yard just the way they wanted it, with plenty of plants and flowers. They fished in the Strait of Juan de Fuca, hiked in the Olympic Mountains, and discovered oystering, crabbing, crossword puzzles and reading.

Soon after Bill's passing in 2004, Donna decided to move back to Pasco, WA to be close to her family. Donna moved into a new home and again enjoyed planning the landscaping and planting her flowerbeds. Donna volunteered at Lourdes Medical Center, tied quilts for local charities and attended Lutheran Church of the Master in Pasco. She thoroughly enjoyed crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles and a good book on her Kindle. She was always up for a pizza party, a cheeseburger, or a drive around the Tri-Cities to see how it had grown. She found much joy in spending time with her children and being "Nana" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Craven, parents and sisters Dorothy Anderson, and Ethel Mae Wilson, who died in infancy.

Donna is survived by her son William D. Craven (Sheri) of Richland, WA, her daughter Leslie Craven (Dr. Michael E. Shannon) of Pasco, WA, grandchildren Amanda (Mike) Werlinger, William Craven, Holly (Erik) Bohlman, Kelsey Aiello and Amy Aiello; and great-grandchildren Madeline Werlinger, Grant Bohlman and Derek Bohlman.

We would like to thank the wonderful team at The Chateau and Tri-Cities Chaplaincy for caring for Mom in her final days. The nursing pinning ceremony held by the caregivers from Tri-Cities Chaplaincy honoring Mom's many years caring for others as a nurse was a very special moment for her and a cherished memory for her family.

There will be no services at Donna's request. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Port Angeles, WA in a beautiful spot overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca - a place they were so fond of in their retirement years.
