Donald Bogenberger at 93 years old passed away in the early morning hours of December 30 after a day filled with friends, family and the support network at Hawthorne Court Retirement Community. He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline and brother, Roger; and survived by brother, David, son Robert Paul, daughter-in-law Vicki, grandson Charles and a loving extended family. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016, at 10:00 am, at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union St. Kennewick, WA 99338. Donald was born in Milwaukee, WI, lived and worked in San Francisco through the war years and served in the National Guard. He met Pauline there and they married Jan 23, 1956. He worked as a high school teacher in St. Helena, CA until moving to teach language arts at Columbia Basin College until his retirement in 1983. He and Pauline loved the Tri-Cities, tennis at Tri-City Court Club, spending time with their grandson and gardening through a long and healthy retirement. He continued to love an evening out and dancing into his final months. Stalwart friends supported him through his last years.
