Dolly Lorene Thomas Dec. 10, 1923-Dec. 25, 2022 was born to Thomas Richard and Hattie Adelia Cooper in Eminence, MO, fifteen minutes after her twin sister Ollie Maxine.

She grew up in and attended grade school in the small community of Flat Rock and on to Summersville, MO for high school.

At 14 years of age her older sister Jessie and her husband Luke brought his younger brother Creed to

the family home who would later become her husband and the love of her life.

Lorene went to work at the beginning of WW2 in a munitions factory in St. Louis, MO, where she and Creed became reacquainted, fell in love and were married on June 19, 1943. This union was blessed with a son, Larry Lee, in March of 1946, and a daughter, Linda Sue in May of 1950.

In 1944 Creed and Lorene moved to Pasco, WA to help with the war effort. Finding a chance to do mission work in this area, meeting with other families in their homes until about 1948 when the church started meeting in a Quonset hut, later with the help of the Richland congregation this small group built a building on Sylvester Street. Lorene and Creed stayed very active in church work for many years, being faithful to the end and finishing their course. In 1967 they bought a Dry Cleaning shop which Lorene ran for several years.

Lorene was devoted to her Lord and used every opportunity to share her Savor Jesus with her family, friends, neighbors, always having an answer for the Hope that was in her. She and Creed's hospitality was a true gift, always reaching out others in need of help. Lorene was truly an example of the virtuous woman spoken of in Proverbs 31:10-31.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, all of her siblings and numerous extended family whom she had been longing to see.

She leaves her son Larry and his children, Jennifer Orvick, Brian (Becky) Thomas, Danny (Jacque) Thomas, daughter Linda and Dennis Brake and their children, Michelle Brake, Travis (Jillan) Brake and Joshua (Katie) Brake. Nine great grand children and three great great grand children.
