Dirk Alan Mueller, 63, of Mukilteo, WA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones on July 9, 2022, after a short, hard-fought battle with cancer. Dirk was born in Kennewick, WA to Richard and Patricia Mueller on September 9, 1958.  As a youth, Dirk spent his free time rock hunting with his father and brothers, swam competitively, and developed a love for his lifelong hobbies, fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles. Dirk was a proud union member for over 30 years, and retired from the Laborer's union in 2017. Dirk's true passion in life was his family. He was a dedicated husband and father and always made his family his first priority. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life. He embodied unconditional love and took advantage of every opportunity to show his family how much they meant to him and how proud he was of them. He was always the first person his children called for advice, for a helping hand, or for cheering up. Dirk shared his love for the outdoors with his children and taught them all to fish almost before they could even walk. He was the happiest out on his boat in the sound, fishing for coho with family. Dirk had a sense of humor that was one of a kind, and could easily make you laugh until your stomach hurt and tears streamed down your face. His laughter was contagious, and his smile lit up the room. He made friends everywhere he went, and if you knew Dirk, you loved him. He will be deeply missed by each and every person who was blessed to know and love him. Dirk is survived by his mother, Patricia, his wife and best friend, Glenna, his brother, Dana, his children, Alan, Katie (Tommy), Ashley (Keefer), Shauna (Andy), Katie, Carmen and Chas, his grandchildren, River, Fisher, Lincoln, Londyn, Brody, Atticus and Charlie, and the mother of his children, Tracy. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard, and his brother, Darren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 23, 2022, at 11:00 am, at Cornerstone Church, 3315 W. Court St., Pasco, WA 99301. In lieu of flowers, please donate blood at your local blood bank.
