Diane Lee (Hoeft) Olson, 80, of Pasco, Washington, peacefully went to Heaven on April 24, 2024, embraced by the love of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and cherished friend to many.

Diane was born on September 6, 1943, in Brainerd, MN, to Vern and Mary (Shepherd) Hoeft. Upon graduation from high school, Diane moved west and on November 16, 1963, in Pasco, WA, she exchanged vows with Gordon "Gordy" Olson, with whom she shared a life rich in love and devotion. Their union was blessed with three beloved children: Scott, Stacy, and Mellissa.

Diane dedicated her life to faith and family. Joining Faith Assembly Christian Center in 1973, she fervently served as an intercessor and prayer warrior to those at Faith Assembly. Diane was also a part of AGLOW, many bible studies throughout the years, and even a worship leader for "Faith Builders," where it wasn't uncommon to see her with her tambourine! Diane spent her later years attending New Vintage Church, where she was always smiling, giving and receiving hugs, and worshiping Jesus.

Beyond her spiritual commitments, Diane loved her family. She took great pride in being a devoted wife and mother. From yard work to housework, and caring for her children, Diane's days were always full. Diane rarely missed any sporting events and you could always count on her to cheer her children on! She loved going to local parades and the county fair. It was a must that she had to get an elephant ear too! Diane found great joy in camping at Wallowa Lake and other local campgrounds, creating treasured memories with her nearest and dearest. There was always plenty of action playing camping games like lawn darts, Skipbo and Yahtzee! Diane loved the holidays! Christmas was her favorite. From decorating the house, to baking Christmas goodies, to wrapping and hiding presents, you could feel the Christmas cheer in the Olson house. Writing her famous "christmas letter" and sending it out to her friends and family was always a must! One of her favorite traditions on Christmas Eve was to gather everyone around and read the Christmas story from the Bible before everyone opened presents. Diane's heart overflowed with love for her grandchildren, always cheering them on at their various sporting events and hosting memorable sleepovers filled with laughter and games. "GiGi," as they called her, would get so excited whenever they came to visit! From holding them as babies, to playing their favorite board game "Aggravation" for hours, GiGi loved her grandchildren!

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 61 years, Gordon "Gordy" Olson; her children, Scott Olson, Stacy and Roger Kelly, and Mellissa Olson; grandchildren Adrielle, Brielle, Brooklynn, Chance, Kayla, Chloe, along with her sister Rosemary, and many great grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Vern and Mary (Shepherd) Hoeft, step-father Theodore "Ted" Huggins, and brothers James "Jimmy" LaVerne Hoeft and Dean A. Hoeft.

Diane's earthly journey concluded with her interment at Mueller's Desert Lawn Memorial Park  on April 29th, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at New Vintage Church on Saturday, June 22nd at 1:00 PM. Additionally, the family extends profound gratitude to Diane's caregivers, Kassie and Brittnie, for their gentle, attentive and loving care.

Though Diane may have departed from our sight, her spirit continues to shine bright in the hearts of all who were touched by her kindness, grace, and unwavering faith. She left a legacy of love that will be carried on by all she loved. May she find eternal peace in the loving embrace of her Savior, Jesus Christ.
