Diane Lee Carr made her journey to the Lord on September 12, 2012, at home surrounded by her loving family. Diane was the youngest of ten children, born June 18, 1937, to Charles Orville Daggett and Grace Ellen Pettys in Clearwater, CA. Diane attended school in Southern California, where she met and married the love of her life, Dean Carr, at the age of 20 in Las Vegas, NV. After standing up for her sister at her wedding in the morning, Dean and Diane married that same afternoon. This past July, they celebrated 55 years of marriage together. Their marriage was blessed with three daughters, Lori, Kathy and Christie. Together they lived an adventurous life, taking their young family to live in Spain and Alaska, making many wonderful memories. After many years living in California, Idaho and Washington, they retired in Kennewick, WA, in 2003. Here, she developed a real love for golf and spent many happy times on the course with Dean and their golfing friends at Canyon Lakes Golf Course. She was an accomplished quilter, making beautiful quilts that will be cherished by her family for years. Gramma's quilts are prized possessions in the family. Diane loved her children, but she had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gramma, or GGma as she was known by the little ones, loved each and every one of them in their own special way. Always the protector, her grandchildren could do no wrong in her eyes. The family was blessed this past week with the arrival of two sweet babies, easing the pain of her passing. Diane is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dean Carr. Daughters, Lori & Steve Brewer of Colfax, CA, Kathy & Paul Ruggles of Kennewick, WA, and Christie & Jim McAloon of Kennewick, WA. Brother, Jack Daggett, of Apple Valley, CA. Grandchildren, Scott Black, Brent & Kimi Black, Melissa & Chris Smart, Michael McAloon, Daniel McAloon, Matt Ruggles & Chantelle McGuire. Great-Grandchildren, Ethan, Brody, Stella, Breeana, Drayden, Brooklyn and Coen. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Grace Daggett. Siblings, Naomi Fuller, Geraldine Dilbeck, Glen Daggett, Charles Daggett, Jeannette Pebley, Dorothy Lewis, William Daggett and Dolores Rivett.
