Dennis Harold Somers, 75, passed away on November 5, 2025, in Spokane, Washington, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Dennis was born on October 17, 1950, in Kemmerer, Wyoming, to the late Herold and Evelyn (Rasmussen) Somers. In 1955, the family moved to Kennewick, Washington, where he spent most of his childhood. He graduated from Kennewick High School in 1969 and went on to complete the carpenter apprenticeship program at Columbia Basin College - working as an apprentice during the day and attending classes in the evenings.

In 1971, Dennis met the love of his life, Debbie, through mutual friends. They were married on September 30, 1972, and together raised four children. Dennis and Debbie worked together for many years at Riviera Trailer Village until they retired.

A true Ford man, Dennis loved tinkering with his many Ford trucks and was happiest with a wrench or hammer in hand. He had an uncanny ability to 'need' a tool for every project. He will be remembered for his sweet tooth and fondness for Snickers bars. A passionate collector of many things, Dennis saw value and memory in everything he kept. Above all, he will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, brother and friend who will be dearly missed.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Debbie; his children Denise Mildren (Dan), Tracey DeRoos (Greg), Josh Somers (Brandy), and Nikki Scherzinger (Brent); grandchildren Emma and Elijah (Addison) Mildren, Lindsay, Trent, and Lauren DeRoos, Sydney (Kyle) O'Brien and Hayden Harshfield, Lincoln, Adelyn and Luke Scherzinger; and great-grandchildren Preslee and Oaklee O'Brien. He is also survived by his sister Betty Cannedy, brother Bruce Somers (Cynthia), and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ronald and Rodney; and nephews Darron and Chad Cannedy.

A memorial service will be held at Mueller's Tri-Cities funeral home on November 17, 2025 at 1:00pm, with a reception to follow at the Somers residence in Finley.
