Delfred Ludwig Gans passed away peacefully at Hospice House in Kennewick, Washington surrounded by family on Friday, November 28, 2008. He was born in Woodland, California on September 11, 1938 to Alfred and Freida Gans. He was raised in Esparta, California, the fourth of five children. At the age of 19, he moved to the Tri-Cities and chose to spend the remainder of his life here. Del loved his family very much. He also loved to entertain and cook. He was the kind of man you could call upon day or night. After a long awaited journey he has passed away and joined his wife, Donita, in Heaven. He will be missed greatly by those who love him. Del was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Freida; brother Don; best friend and love of his life Donita. He is survived by his sister Darleen Manhart; brothers Denis Rozanne and Delmar Jan; sister in-law Darlene Gans; daughters Jacquie and Joni; stepson Don Mechelle; grandchildren Samantha, Angela, Corey, Tabatha, Andrew, BreAnna, Adam, Alex, Tyler and Alicia; four great grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2008, 2:00pm, at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls located at 314 West 1st Avenue in Kennewick with visitation on Friday, December 5th, 5:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday 11:00am until the service begins.
