Obituary

Debra Ann Mitz passed away at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, Washington on the morning of August 23, 2023. Services will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Eltopia, Washington. There will be a Rosary Wednesday, August 30th at 6 pm and a funeral mass Thursday, August 31st at 2 pm.

Debra was born to Martin and Shirley Anzelini on July 4, 1952, in Trinadad, Colorado. She was the oldest in the family with 3 younger brothers. She grew up in several cities in Colorado and Washington, graduating high school at Pasco High and attended college at Eastern Washington University. She married her husband, John, in 1976 and together, they raised their five children near Basin City and later Eltopia.

Debra worked as a dental hygienist for most of her career, but her main calling and passion was motherhood. She cared deeply for her children, grandchildren, and pets. Throughout her life she welcomed any and all who needed a listening ear or a place to call home. Her loving attitude and commitment to her family set an example for all who knew her. After retiring, she enjoyed her garden, good books, and most of all being with her grandchildren. Debra's volunteer work at St. Paul's, her church, was also very important to her. She took pride in her responsibilities as a parishioner and was always willing to help.

She was a wonderfully loving wife, mother, Noni, daughter, sister, and friend whose caring and comforting presence and encouraging smile will be forever etched in our memories.

She is survived by, sons Ian (Shelley), Tristan (Niya), and Isaac, daughters Michon and Danica (Brian), grandsons Levi, Chandler, Griffin and Ellington and granddaughters Olivia and Isla, brothers Micheal (Dianne) and John (Sonja).
