David L. Jahnel of Pasco, WA, passed away on December 5, 2013 at the age of 52. David was born on June 28, 1961, in Pasco, WA. He was the fourth child born to Larry & Norma Jahnel.David lived his entire life in Pasco, WA, and graduated from Pasco High School in 1980. He worked in the grocery store industry for several years and more recently worked as a laborer performing odd jobs for local businessmen. He married Tina Hudlow in June 1993; however, they divorced in 1994. For the last six years David's focus was caring for his Dad and his Dad's four-legged companion Joey. He watched over Dad and Joey daily and it created a strong bond between them. This relationship meant a great deal to David and he took pride in this accomplishment.He loved football and baseball especially the Seahawks and the Mariners. He was a huge fan and supporter of both teams for many years. His favorite pastime sport was fishing. Even though his health kept him from going fishing, he still had many old fishing stories to share with family and friends. Our family would like to thank his friends who watched over him and remained his true friends till the end.David is survived by his sisters, Rhonda Ross, Donna Eberhart and husband Jim, & Lois Eberhart and husband Bill; his nieces and nephews Brenda Wharton, Kelli Meyer, Daniel Wharton, and Brian Eberhart.David is preceded in death by his parents Larry & Norma Jahnel and brother-in-law Donald R. Ross.A memorial service will be held at the Pasco First Lutheran Church, 530 W. Bonneville, Pasco, WA, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2014. A luncheon will be served following the memorial service at the Moose Lodge, 2617 W. Sylvester St., Pasco, WA.A small family service will be held at a later date to lay David to rest at the cemetery next to Mom & Dad.
