David L. Chambers, age 88, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 15, 2010 at the Avalon Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pasco. David was born January 11, 1922 to George and Laura Chambers in Scipio, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Nova of Pasco; son Douglas Patricia Chambers of Pasco, son Charles Carrie Chambers of Pasco; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by daughter Leila Ann Chambers, his parents, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters. David was honorably discharged from the Army in 1946 at the end of World War II. He then began farming in the San Joaquin Valley in California. He moved his family to Pasco in 1960 and farmed north of Pasco until he retired in 1972.
